Bocanova Announces Details for “Rick’s Supper Club”
Bocanova’s popular dinner series “Rick’s Supper Club” continues all through fall 2012 as Owner/Chef Rick Hackett partners with the best local purveyors and winemakers to take guests on a culinary journey. Three scheduled suppers will present dishes from Rick’s favorite regions in Mexico. These one-of-a-kind food and wine events offer a five-course family-style menu, priced at $68.00, inclusive of wine pairings and a signature cocktail created by Bar Manager Stella Davies.
Upcoming dates for “Rick’s Supper Club” include:
- Thursday, October 4, 2012: Rick takes diners to Jalisco, where some of the best tequila is made, featuring Siete Leguas Tequila and Del Maguey Mezcal paired with traditional dishes including traditional Shrimp Cocktail with Cucumber Salsa, Seafood with Pumpkin Seed, Carne Asada, Pozole Verde and Black Beans with Chorizo.
- Thursday, November 1, 2012:Rick presents dishes inspired by Mexico City paired with wines from Heintz Cellars. Menu items include Mushroom Soup with Chipotle, Quesadillas, Fish with a Cactus Salsa, Duck with Chocolate, Chile & Dried Fruit and the traditional Barbacoa-Lamb Baked in Maguey or Banana Leaves.
- Thursday, December 6, 2012: Rick treats diners to a true mole feasts inspired by Oaxaca with seven kinds of mole to compliment an array of fish, meats and vegetables.
