Thursday marked the official launch party for’s new venue booking website for event planners, hosted by Events by Collette. After a year of beta-testing,the company finally unveils Froomz 1.0 to be rolled out this month. No punches were pulled to celebrate bringing in their product – complete with live music, catered hors d’oeuvres, and a fabulous assortment of raffle prizes.

Setting the tone with Seven’s Fears playing live offered a good balance between energetic and easy going for a party set in Gallery 4N5 in Downtown San Francisco. After grabbing a glass of wine and a couple bites courtesy of Knight’s Catering and red velvet cupcakes by Susie Cakes – it was time to mingle with the guests. Among the many attendees to the sold out event, some of whom are very active in the fashion and entertainment community around San Francisco, were Liana Burtsava of Trendy Lime, Sansu Ramsey of the Sansu Show, and Ford Model Ying Fu, to name a few.

The main event was a presentation by Froomz CEO, Yan Heim – who talked briefly about their development over the last year: keyword, trust. “If it weren’t for all the customer and marketing feedback, I wouldn’t know what to build. So thank you” added CTO/Co-Founder, Mike Cody. With a growing list of venues to browse and book from, Froomz claims its killing blow in the events industry is the level of trust that they have with their members and the venues they book. Following this, the raffle prizes were drawn with Froomz marketing guru, Christina Dunham, featuring an assortment of giveaways such as cooking lessons with Parties that Cook, tickets to a taping of Studio Gourmet, and a grand prize of a nights stay in one of Galleria Park Hotel’s luxurious suites in San Francisco. Once all the prizes were drawn, the party closed out with more mingling and drinking. Congratulations to Froomz on an amazing event – and if their website delivers parties as amazing as their own, here’s to a great new way to plan everything from birthday parties to fashion shows.
