Manresa Welcomes Two-Michelin Star Chef Mauro Colagreco for a Special Dinner with Rutini Wines on October 29

Manresa’s David Kinch welcomes longtime friend and colleague Chef Mauro Colagreco to the restaurant on Monday, October 29, 2012 for a special dinner featuring Rutini Wines from Argentina. While the Argentina-born Colagreco is chef/owner of Mirazur restaurant in France, he is also the Chef Ambassador for Rutini Wines, one of the country’s most celebrated wineries. Chef Colagreco’s Mirazur is a two-Michelin star restaurant and is ranked 24 on the San Pellegrino and Restaurant magazine’s “World’s Best Restaurant” list.

The evening not only showcases renowned varietals from one of Argentina’s oldest wineries, but is an opportunity to experience the cuisine of Kinch and Colagreco, two Michelin two-star and “World’s Best Restaurant” chefs in one evening. They will collaborate on an eight-course menu designed to showcase the portfolio of Rutini Wines. The menu, including wine pairings is $185 per person.

Details: Rutini Wines is recognized today as one of Argentina’s most prominent and successful wineries, noted for its outstanding quality and character of since 1885.  The winery was founded by Felipe Rutini, an Italian native from Ascoli Piceno. Combining the long tradition of production and desire to constantly evolve and innovate, Rutini Wines is considered as one of the most successful and relevant brands of our time.

The Argentina-born Mauro Colagreco is Rutini Wines´ Chef Ambassador for 2012. Mauro´s culinary talent is highly recognized throughout the world, as he was awarded Chef of the Year in France in 2008; being the first non-French citizen to earn this distinguished recognition. Mauro is also the founder of the famous restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France. In addition, Mauro was awarded the prestigious recognition of the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of Arts & Letters) by the Ministry of Culture & Communication of France.

Manresa continues to create truly unique and distinctive dining experiences for its guests, having welcomed chefs from around the globe year after year.  Chef Mauro Colagreco is the third international chef to grace Manresa’s kitchen in the past year, having previously welcomed Australia’s Dan Hunter of the Royal Mail Hotel and Ben Shewry of Attica. Chef David Kinch has also collaborated with Alain Passard of L’Arpège in Paris; René Redzepi of Noma in Copenhagen; and Alexandre Gauthier of La Grenouillere in Montreuil-sur-Mer, France.
