Rock Wall, Featuring le truc, Announces Grand Opening On Nov. 2
Rock Wall Wine Company, award-winning urban winery announced their collaboration with gourmet food truck, le truc, as its new on-site restaurant partner and its grand opening on November 2, 2012. Located on the shores of Alameda, CA with a 40,000 sq. foot hangar and tasting room, Rock Wall Wine Company will now offer a unique food experience that is just as contemporary and urbane as its namesake, by taking the le truc“bustaurant” concept and making it a permanent fixture within the Rock Wall winery location.
As one of the most popular food trucks in the Bay Area, with rotating locations that include 470 Brannan Street and the Treasure Island Flea Market, le truc now calls Rock Wall Wine Company home as they take over the on-site chef’s kitchen and offer a full menu to guests in the tasting room, deck, and in the private event “dome,” five days a week.
“We are so excited to have le truc in our kitchen!’” says Rockwall Wine Company Proprietor and Head Winemaker, Shauna Rosenblum. “With le truc as an official food partner we now have a restaurant with fantastic offerings that will make for an incredible food and wine experience. Le truc is as excited and creative about food as Rock Wall is about wine, and that awesome symbiosis is going to make for some really fun times.”
Le truc will continue to serve food in their classic, contemporary American style, offering many of the signature dishes that they offer in their mobile “bustaurant.” With the partnership at Rock Wall Wine Company, the two entities will come together to offer dishes that pair particularly well with the various wines at Rock Wall, so as to create the ultimate urban food and wine experience. Some food and wine pairings will include le truc’s Turkey Meatball with hand crafted turkey meatballs, provolone, cabernet marinara, parmesan, basil, and pepperoncini paired with Rock Wall’s 2010 Monte Rosso Zinfandel, le truc’s Butt King Taco with Thai curry pulled pork butt, sweet bell pepper slaw, pepperoncini aioli, picked cilantro and lime paired with Rock Wall’s 2011 Rock Hound White, or le truc’s Old School Fries with steel cut potato, mustard aioli, fresh basil, and cayenne paired with Rock Wall’s 2011 Sparkling Brut to name a few.
Le truc dishes will range from $4-$15, with Rock Wall wines by the glass ranging from $8-$12. Restaurant hours are Wednesday-Thursday, 12:00pm-5:30pm, Friday from 12:00pm-6:30pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 12:00pm-5:30pm. As always, Rock Wall offers free and ample parking.
