The 12th annual Wine and Wishes® event, being held on Saturday, February 2nd 2013 on Treasure Island, features the culinary talents of 9 celebrated Bay Area chefs during the Winemaker Dinner and over 50 restaurants and wineries at the Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting. The iconic Administration Building is the setting for the Food & Wine Tasting, and the Winemaker Dinner will be held in San Francisco’s only working winery, the nearby Winery SF. This year’s event will bring together renowned culinary stars like James Beard Award winner, Roland Passot of La Folie, Mark Dommen of One Market and Mark Liberman of AQ, among others, for the Winemaker Dinner. Wineries featured at the Tasting include Cakebread Cellars, Merry Edwards, and Patz & Hall, among others, and restaurants include Epic Roasthouse, Wayfare Tavern, A16 and Farallon, which will provide its ever-popular oyster bar. In addition to sampling some of the Bay Area’s best food and wine, participants will get to know some of the wonderful children we serve through the wish stories that will be highlighted during the evening.
The evening begins at 5pm with a Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting, where attendees can sample signature hors d’oeuvres from 26 celebrated local restaurants and taste wine from 26 Bay Area wineries. A new addition to this year’s event is the VIP Reception, which features tasting from coveted cult wineries Captûre Wines, Gemstone Vineyard, Kosta Browne Winery and Robert Biale Vineyard, and an amuse boûche from the evening’s Executive Chefs. At 8:00pm nine local executive chefs will prepare a four-course Winemaker Dinner, pairing each course with select wines. Tickets are now on sale for the Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting ($150/person) and the Winemaker Dinner ($500-$1,000 per person).
