Six of the Country’s Top Pastry Chefs Bring “Killed By Dessert” to San Francisco

Following the success of “Killed by Dessert” in Brooklyn and Austin, top pastry chefs from across the country are coming together to bring a bake sale and special dinner to San Francisco, to be held at the new San Francisco Cooking School.

To kick off the weekend, the original six chefs have invited several of the Bay Area’s top pastry chefs to participate in a bake sale on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Each of the chefs will offer a variety of signature baked goods, all priced a la carte. Tickets are not required.

Participating chefs include:

The Killed By Dessert dinner on Sunday, May 12, 2013, will begin with a reception of passed savory canapés, one from each founding chef, and guest chefs William Werner of Craftsman and Wolves and Michael Recchiuti of Recchiuti Confections. Once seated, guests will experience two plated desserts from each founding chef – all of which will showcase their personal favorite ingredients, techniques and ideas. Guests will be encouraged to step inside their world and interact with the chefs in the kitchen. Guest chefs William Werner and Michael Recchiuti will close out the sweet evening with signature mignardises. Net proceeds from the bake sale and dinner will benefit Share Our Strength.
