Craftsman and Wolves Announces Beer & Wine and CUESA Farmers Market Stand May 2013
Craftsman and Wolves will offer beer and wine, a new savory menu, extended hours, special cube cakes for Mother’s Day, and a market stand at the CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market every Saturday.
Craftsman and Wolves made its debut at CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, May 4, 2013. Located between Blue Bottle Coffee’s exterior stand and MarketBar, in front of the Ferry Building, Craftsman and Wolves market stand offered a collection of morning pastries, confections, cookies and jams, including the favorite Rebel Within breakfast muffin; Devil Inside chocolate-caramel cake; Thailand scone; cocoa carrot muffin; kim chi financier; chocolate-white shoyu caramels; palmiers; Valrhona chocolate-praline bar; matcha milk jam; and seasonal pate de fruit and preserves; to name a few.
Starting today May 6, 2013, Craftsman and Wolves will remain open until 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, offering a small selection of beer and wine. The menu was curated by Chef William Werner in partnership with St. Vincent Owner and neighbor David Lynch and includes German Gilabert Cava Brut Nature NV, Penedes, Spain ($9/glass); Edmunds St. John “Heart of Gold” El Dorado County White, California ($10/glass); Hidalgo Oloroso Sherry “Faraon” ($11/glass); Quinta do Infantado Tawny Port, Oporto Portugal ($8.50/glass); Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir 2010, Oregon ($45/bottle); Bavik “Wittekerke” Witbier ($3.5/can); Harviestoun “Old Engine Oil” ($10/330 ml); amongst others.
New savory dishes making an appearance next week include a sloppy joe sandwich with angus beef and oyster mushrooms on a miso sweet potato bun ($11); savory tart on whole wheat lavash with house ricotta and market vegetables ($8); mac-n-cheese with carnitas and manchego ($11); 4505 boudin blanc with house mostarda and smoked potato salad ($12); ocean trout verrine with peas, preserved lemon and pancetta ($6); and more.
Lastly, back by popular demand, Craftsman and Wolves’ custom cube cakes will return for Mother’s Day. Similar to the special sweetheart cakes Chef Werner and team created for Valentine’s, the Mother’s Day cakes will be cookies-and-cream flavored and say “I Love Mom” in three different styles — metal font; Bauhaus font; and one that looks like a sailor tattoo.
