The B Michael America Couture fashion show was the last event of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center and guests were still overflowing the Studio. Modern Impressionism is his aesthetic inspiration for his Spring 2014 collection, and it rang true in each of his signature styles and glamorous pieces shown in a series of color stories. The changes of each color story captivated the audience, especially when the similar narrative was translated to the menswear collection. It was almost as if we were watching a new collection each time. The “Monet Pallette” featured beautiful sheaths and dresses in emerald, sapphire, ivory, and teals. The menswear collection followed in the “Whimsical Pallete” color story, with separates in beautiful paisley prints and floral details which were apparent yet minimalistic. The men radiated a confident yet relaxed chic. His finale gowns definitely made a statement and the audience was suitably impressed. The two standouts were the Rose Crystal Godet Trumpet Gown and the Billowed Tier Gown in stunning Monet colors of Blue and Turquoise. This show was a fitting end to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center and you can expect to see some of his finale gowns and cocktail dresses gracing the frames of celebrities at upcoming galas and social events.
