1313 Main, Napa’s premium “Northside” wine bar, lounge, and now restaurant, is making use of the new Coravin system to offer rare and exclusive tasting flights of wine. Having been one of the first few testers for the revolutionary wine access technology, 1313 has taken the concept of “access” to previously unknown heights.

As a result of this game-changing new technology, 1313 is able to feature four new ultra-premium wine flights, including the “Flight of Your Life” that includes the 1978 Chateau Petrus First Growth, 2010 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru and 2000 Harlan Estate, without ever having to open the bottles.

Petrus can be found online for upwards of $3,500 per bottle, the DRC for upwards of $2,000 per bottle and the Harlan for up to $1,500 per bottle, yet, at 1313 Main, one can have a one-ounce pour of all three for $300. For the truly adventuresome, one can opt for two-ounce pours at $600 or luxurious five-ounce pours for $1,500.

Three other flights offer the choice of individual two-ounce or five-ounce pours of some of the iconic wines of the world, including 1975 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, 1982 Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow, 2005 Harlan Estate The Maiden, 2009 Scarecrow and 1998 Heitz Cellar Martha’s Vineyard, among others. Tariff for these wines range from $14 for a two-ounce pour to $120 for a five-ounce pour.

Proprietor Al Jabarin says, “The Coravin system opens up a whole world of wine in so many ways – truly remarkable wines that might otherwise be inaccessible to the wine aficionado are now affordable. We can offer comparative flights of wine that would otherwise be financially impossible to present. Gift certificates for luxury flights can be redeemed at any time making fine wine available to our guests from both near and far. Plus, we can even offer “futures” tastings of great wines from around the world just as Bordeaux does with each vintage.”

1313 Main is located between Caymus and Clinton and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 4-10:00pm with Happy Hour each night until 6:00pm. For more information, call 707.258.1313 or visit the website at www.1313main.com.
