The 2013 Gourmet & Golf Classic was the most successful event to date, drawing more than 400 guests, raising more than $50,000 for Hall of Famer Mexican former No. 1 golfer Lorena Ochoa’s foundation, and welcoming internationally acclaimed chefs from Michael Mina of the Mina Group to Andrew Kirschner of Tar & Roses in Los Angeles.

Building upon that success, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort will welcome an impressive roster of culinary talent for the 2014 Gourmet & Golf Classic. Hosted by The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort’s executive chef Sylvain Desbois and Philippe Piel of the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, other notable chef participants include Mexico’s celebrated chef Antonio de Livier; pastry chef Mickael Fournier of The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort; Top Chef Masters winner and restaurateur Floyd Cardoz; acclaimed Mexican chef Richard Sandoval of Richard Sandoval Restaurants; Argentina’s Fernando Trocca from Guacho Restautants UK; Claudia Fossa of Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills; James Lowe of The Young Turks in the UK; Abraham Salum, chef and owner of Salum Restaurant in Dallas; José Salas of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita; Fernando Trocca of Sucre Restaurant; Thierry Blouet, chef and owner of Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta; and famed Brazilian chef Paolo Carosella.

For golf-minded guests, the Gourmet & Golf Classic will also feature the Punta Mita Cup, a two-day golf tournament played on Jack Nicklaus’ two signature courses, Bahia and Pacifico.  Acclaimed Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa will be participating in the weekend’s events, and participants will have the opportunity to win a variety of exciting prizes.  Additionally, 2002 PGA champion Richard Beem will join the event for the first time this year and will offer a unique Beat the Champ Challenge to all golfers on the famed Tail of the Whale hole.
