Showtime at Café De Paris

Cafe De Paris

Piccadilly’s Café De Paris, with its glittering history, spanning more than nine decades – it first opened its doors in 1924 – is renowned for both its sparking performers and its guests as well from royalty and members of the aristocracy to eminent political figures and stars of stage and screen.

On descending the sweeping steps visitors cannot fail to be caught up in the nostalgia of a bygone era. Gloriously ostentatious décor features twin staircases curving down from the balcony – based on the Palm Court of the Lusitania ocean liner no less – and a dance-floor modelled on the ballroom of the Titanic.

In 2014, this illustrious venue celebrates its 90th anniversary year with two new glittering in-house cabaret productions, the Friday night London Cabaret Society and Saturday’s Showtime Cabaret.

London Cabaret Society celebrates the dark and sultry side of cabaret and burlesque, hosting talented performers from around the world. The show is set to a backdrop of live music composed especially for the performance and this, together with original choreography, makes for an unmissable experience.

Showtime Cabaret  recreates the golden age of British variety entertainment with the most fabulous cabaret musicians, the finest stand-up comedians, the raciest burlesque performers, the most unforgettable speciality acts and a top secret climax that is sure to have audiences on the edge of their seats.
