Berlinetta Lounge to Host Flights + Bites with Melville Winery on Thursday, May 29, 2014

Berlinetta Lounge, the private events space at the Mystic Hotel and Burritt Room + Tavern, will continue its Flights + Bites Series on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. Each dish on Chef Luke Knox’s menu draws inspiration from the wine region of where it was produced and is designed to be a sensory experience, pairing the old vintages with the newer releases. The uni is sourced from Santa Barbara where the Chardonnay soil is rich, and the abalone will come from the same area as the Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

Winemaker Greg Brewer has been deemed a modern renaissance man for not only does he create award-winning wines at Melville Winery, but he is also a French teacher, consultant, and musician. Greg will join Chef Luke Knox and Sommelier Camille Berry for an evening of sips and swirls as both discuss the characteristics and nuances of each pairing.
