Gruv’n at Roka Akor

Roka Akor in San Francisco’s Jackson Square was the host for Day 27 of 30 Days of Gruv’n, one of the exclusive launch events of Gruv, San Francisco’s newest social marketing startup.  The sold out happy hour complimentary event was held downstairs at the Roka Bar offering a sexier vibe with its textured walls, minimal lighting and inviting lounge seating areas with the bar as its central focal point.  Gruv guests for the happy hour experience were greeted with a tall pilsner glass of Sapporo draft beer.  A sip of the ice-cold brew was a perfect accompaniment to a sampling of Roka Akor’s Happy Hour Small Plates menu including Butterfish Tataki with White Asparagus and Yuzu as well as Roasted Serrano Chilies with Bonito Flakes.  Gruv team members Robin Sahai, Founder, and Brad Lev, Director of Sales & Marketing, welcomed guests and shared Gruv’s platform designed to create engagement and connectivity between services-oriented businesses and their customers.  Gruv’s merchant partners include local restaurants, wineries and breweries, spas, tours, fitness clubs, and just about anything that offers something to the public.  Gruv’s goal is to bring its users and local businesses together via their platform where businesses engage their customers with their own stories, tailor offerings with the goal of garnering repeat business among its users.

The complimentary happy hour collaboration resulted in some guests securing a table for dinner at the main restaurant, eager to experience more of Chef Roman Petry’s rendition of refined Japanese cuisine.
