There’s so much to be celebrated about San Francisco and its people.  Not only is it an epicurean heaven, but is also home to world class entertainment that lures millions of people to flock this favorite city.  And the people that make up San Francisco are just as enthusiastic about its food and its arts scene as it is with its act of philanthropy.

Steve Silver’s “Beach Blanket Babylon,” the hilariously musical revue that is a favorite for its outrageously gigantic hats and spectacular costumes, spoofs of current events and pop culture, celebrates 40 years of non-stop laughter in the San Francisco entertainment scene.  It is hailed as one of San Francisco’s jewels, thus its 40 year success!  Beach Blanket Babylon’s 40 year anniversary is being celebrated in many ways throughout San Francisco.

Hard Rock Café San Francisco is happy to present The Beach Blanket Babylon Burger which includes an 8oz. Certified Angus Beef Patty, cooked to order and topped with fresh Arugula which is lightly tossed in white balsamic vinaigrette, grilled Red Bell Peppers and Yellow Squash, fresh Tomato and Cucumber slices, crispy Onion Strings and melted Gruyere cheese, with King Louis sauce, a house-made roasted garlic, chili and truffle aioli, all piled high on a toasted brioche bun – just like a Beach Blanket Babylon hat!

We recently enjoyed the Beach Blanket Babylon Burger with none other than Linda Bulgo, Beach Blanket Babylon’s own Snow White of 15 years (1985 – 2000).  Linda amazed us as she shared her unforgettable experience working with Steve Silver and the fantastic crew of the longest running musical revue.  Our conversation over the humungous and delicious “BBB” burger was shared over a nicely handcrafted Tropical Pineapple Lemonade Press Cocktail, served on a French press.  Other flavors of the lemonade press cocktail include Watermelon Wave Press, Blues Berry Press, Red Berry Press, Raspberry Mint Lemonade and a house favorite, Purple Haze.  (Non-alcoholic alternative is also available, upon request).

$1.00 from each Beach Blanket Babylon Burger sold is donated directly to Glide Memorial’s Feed the Hungry Program.  This “BBB” burger will be available for a limited time only at the Hard Rock Café San Francisco.

Glide Memorial, San Francisco’s favorite local charity and church community also makes its mark as it celebrates over 50 years under the helm of its founder Reverend Cecil Williams.  Glide Memorial’s Feed the Hungry Program has been an ongoing indelible volunteer-run force since 1969, and now serves 3 meals a day, 364 days a year, and averages 2,560 meals a day.

Indeed, Hard Rock Café San Francisco’s partnership with Beach Blanket Babylon and Glide Memorial, is a true representation of San Francisco and its people.  Hard Rock Café has been a longtime establishment in San Francisco serving great American food.  Their burgers have always been the rage as well as the rock and roll memorabilia at each of its locations.  Today, there are over 170 Hard Rock establishments all over the world.  San Franciscans can boast of Hard Rock’s long time presence in the city by the Bay.
