Wine Road’s Winter WINEland to Take Place January 16-17
While the vineyards throughout Sonoma County might be dormant all winter, Wine Road is once again shaking the cold weather blues with its annual “Winter WINEland” event on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2016. In its 24th year, “Winter WINEland” invites guests to create their own journey through wine country discovering new wines, tasting limited production wines, new releases, or library wines. At participating wineries throughout the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys, every winery will have something with a special event price for the weekend. Attendees will save on wine, logo items, gourmet food products or fun wine country gift items. This is a weekend to save!
Tickets include wine tastings at all participating wineries, including some that are usually open by appointment only.
In addition to the afternoon festivities and as part of the Wine Road’s year-long 40th anniversary celebration, January 16 will mark the first of the Breakfast with the Winemaker series. Guests will be able to share breakfast before the event with some of the top winemakers in Sonoma County, and learn more about winemaking through discussion and Q&A sessions. Special tickets are required.
WHO: Over 120 winery members of the Wine Road in Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys in Northern Sonoma County. A list of participating wineries is on the Wine Road website at www.wineroad.com.
