Kicking off Thursday, May 12, 2016 and continuing through Sunday, May 15, the fourth annual MV Wine Fest will create a culinary paradise on an island off the coast of Massachusetts. A series of private home wine dinners, as well as cocktail competitions and beer challenges, and a Grand Tasting event with samplings from over hundreds of wineries, breweries, and local Martha’s Vineyard restaurants.

The focus of the festival, a love for local food and wines, brings together a group of chefs from the island as well as the New England area, including:
• Matt O’Neill of The Blue Ox in Lynn, MA – former ESPN’s ‘Cooking Coach’ and most recently was featured on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay”
• Dan Whalen of the popular food blog, The Food in My Beard and cookbook author of “Stuffed: The Ultimate Comfort Food Cookbook”
• Christopher Viaud, private & sous chef in Boston, formerly of Deuxave Restaurant & Bar and more!

“We’ve doubled the amount of events, but kept the list of small-production wines uniquely curated and handpicked. Our big move to hosting the Grand Tasting in historic downtown Edgartown supports the ever-growing local community and gives us a chance to be more involved in Edgartown this year,” said Mr. Clift, founder of the MV Wine Fest.

The Grand Tasting event takes place on property at the Kelley House, ideally located just steps from the waterfront in quaint Edgartown, on Martha’s Vineyard and bringing classic Vineyard charm since 1742 to guests. Grand Tasting tickets are $100 (general admission) and $130 (VIP admission) and includes access to hundreds of varietals and bites of tasty food.

The lure of settling in for dinner at a private home in one of the most coveted addresses on island (all of Edgartown!), draws guests in. Wineries include: Rombauer Vineyards, Merriam Vineyards, Frog’s Leap,Sterling Vineyards, Caymus Vineyard, and more. Tickets go on sale March 2016 – for more details visit the website: http://www.themvwinefestival.com
