Café Claude, Gitane and Gaspar Brasserie Honor Bastille Day with Seven Days Of Celebrations
Café Claude, Gitane, and Gaspar Brasserie will celebrate Bastille Day beginning Sunday, July 10 through Saturday, July 16 with festivities ranging from prix-fixe menus, specialty cocktails, live jazz and more.
“La Fête de la Bastille is a French tradition, and one we honor at our restaurants here in San Francisco,” says owner Franck LeClerc. “I wanted to offer a variety of options for people wanting to join in the celebrations, from Champagne and Oysters at Gaspar to cocktails at Gitane to a quintessentially French duo of French Onion Soup and a Croque Monsieur at Café Claude.”

Known as the “Paris of the West”, Cafe Claude is at the heart of the city’s Bastille Day celebrations with live jazz along the charming Claude Lane, a prix-fixe dinner menu, a cuvée special and festive cocktails from Sunday, July 10 through Saturday, July 16. Musicians will perform from 7 to 10pm on three nights of the celebration: The Groove Club (in the restaurant) and California Flight Project (in the music venue, located next door) on July 14, Steve Lucky & Carmen Getit Show on July 15, and Trio Garufa on July 16.
Throughout the week, guests can enjoy the following libations for just $7.89:
La Patrie

During the week-long celebration, Café Claude will offer Code Rouge from Gérard Bertrand at an introductory price of $7.89 a coupe
Code Rouge is an ode to excellence and a tribute to the world’s first sparkling wine, made by the monks of Saint Hilaire Abbey near Limoux. It is a Blanc de Blancs made with Chardonnay, Chenin and Mauzac. This Cuvée has all the traditional features of Gérard Bertrand’s wines: the emblematic red color of the bottle and the Alpha and Omega symbols, symbolizing the endless cycle of nature which inspired its name, Brut Eternel.

From Sunday, July 10 through Saturday, July 16, Gaspar will offer four fun ways to celebrate La Fête de la Bastille. Chef Adam Nichol and his talented team have developed two champagne and oyster specials, a specially-priced French Onion Soup and Croque Monsieur pairing, and a prix-fixe menu to commemorate the holiday. To top it all off, Gaspar will also feature live jazz the evenings of Thursday, July 14 and Saturday, July 16 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm with the Jeffrey Burr Trio.
