Go Red for Women – American Heart Association’s Circle of Red Summer Party
Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, a cardiologist and Director of Women and Heart Disease at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, was a guest at the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Circle of Red 2016 Summer Party held at the stunning hillside home of Ruth Calderon-Pearson on August 19th. Circle of Red groups across the country support the mission of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement. They contribute significant resources and influence to fund lifesaving research, education and advocacy for heart health on a local and national level. The Silicon Valley chapter was started by dedicated philanthropists, Anita Del Grande and Marie LoPresto, whose mutual commitment to positive outreach has made it one of the largest and most active AHA groups in California.
Dr. Steinbaum, who authored Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum’s Heart Book: Every Woman’s Guide to a Heart-Healthy Lifestyle, is passionate about educating women regarding the factors that put them at greater risk for heart attacks and heart disease (estrogen being one of them). In addition to signing and distributing free copies of her book to guests, Dr. Steinbaum announced the launch of myWanda, a free lifestyle app that helps women develop and track heart healthy habits.
