Cider Summit SF Coming to the Presidio April 22nd – Tickets on Sale Now
Cider Summit SF will return to the Presidio on April 22, 2017 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. for the fourth annual Bay Area event. The region’s largest cider tasting festival will take place at the beautiful Civil War Parade Ground, adjacent to the Main Post. Cider Summit SF is an opportunity for guests to meet cidermakers and taste popular and new releases. Advance purchase tickets are now on sale online. Cider Summit SF is presented by Whole Foods Market along with supporting sponsors including, Upcider Gastropub, KRAVE Jerky, Oregon Fruit Products Co., Wag Hotels, BART, and Morris Distributing.
Nearly 200 selections of cider from California and other states along with ciders from over five different countries will be available to taste. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the cider experience and be guided through the tastings by the cidermakers themselves. The festival will include local producers such as Ace Cider, Cider Brothers, Golden State Cider, Tilted Shed Ciderworks, Sonoma Cider, Two Rivers and other regional favorites and international classics. Cider Summit SF will also feature a variety of cider cocktails prepared by selected cideries, along with apple spirits.
New this year is a collaboration with Finnriver Farm & Cidery. Finnriver is an organic family farm that produces a range of traditional, contemporary and seasonal hard ciders made primarily from organic Washington fruit. Finnriver has partnered with Cider Summit festivals on a limited edition Saison/Farmhouse style cider. The cider is made from a select blend of Washington Certified Organic apples fermented with a Saison ale yeast at high temperatures to bring out the tropical and spice notes of the yeast. The cider will be featured at each of the four Cider Summits in 2017, including San Francisco.
To complement the cider, specially paired food selections will be available for purchase from vendors including Whole Foods Market Truck, Slow Hand BBQ, and other assorted small bites. Whole Foods Market will also host a cider and food-pairing pavilion featuring Sebastopol-based Golden State Cider and local food purveyors. The event will also feature a “Dog Lounge” hosted by Berkeley Humane & Wag Hotels, as well as an event store with Cider Summit SF t-shirts and other merchandise.
