Celebrated Winemaker Merry Edwards Teams up With The Tavern At Lark Creek to Host a Special Wine Dinner On October 17, 2012 During Wild Mushroom and Pinot Noir Month-Long Celebration

The Tavern at Lark Creek announces “An Evening with Merry Edwards” on October 17, 2012. Celebrated vintner Merry Edwards will lend her wine prowess, and impressive canon of bottles, to pair wines with a special wild mushroom-centric menu crafted by Chef/Partner Aaron Wright. The six course menu may either be ordered as a prix fixe chef’s menu ($60), or á la carte. Pairings will also be available as a prix fixe program ($55), or by the glass. “An Evening with Merry Edwards” is a part of The Tavern at lark Creek’s Wild Mushroom and Pinot Noir celebration, happening throughout the month of October 2012.

Heralded as being one of California’s first female winemakers, Merry Edwards started her career at Mount Eden Vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and went on to become the founding winemaker at Matanzas Creek, remaining there for nearly a decade. In 1997, family and friends joined Merry to found Merry Edwards Winery, with a focus on producing Pinot Noirs with a sense of place from Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast.
