HALL Wines Hosts 4th Annual “HALL Cabernet Cookoff” on Saturday, April 27, 2013

Bringing together the best in local food and wine for a good cause, HALL Wines is hosting its annual “HALL Cabernet Cookoff” for a 4th year on April 27, 2013. Thirteen chef-teams will compete for a local charity of their choice by serving up their ultimate “small bites” dishes paired with the recently-released HALL 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Throughout the afternoon of food, wine and music, guests will be invited to taste dishes from each chef-team and vote on their favorite for the “People’s Choice” award.

Professional judges this year will include Hiro Sone and Lossa Doumani from TerraTerra Bar and Ame; Chef Ken Frank of  La Toque and Bank Cafe & Bar; and Chef Brandon Sharp of Solbar. The winning team will receive a cash prize to donate to a local charity of their choice. Last year’s event drew a crowd of over 300 wine and food lovers and raised $10,000 in cash to the winning team’s charities. All ticket sales and a portion of wine purchased during the event will be donated to the sponsored charity chosen by the winning teams.
