Gucci hosted a private cocktail party at the House’s San Francisco store to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the horsebit loafer and the 1953 collection for men and women.  In celebration of this icon, the event launched the Made to Order program offering the exclusive opportunity to create a customized version of the legendary loafer, by choosing from a selection of materials, colors, linings, and horsebit finishings.  To further highlight the 60th anniversary, the store showcased archival images of celebrities including Sophia Loren, Jane Birkin and Francis Ford Coppola wearing the iconic loafer.

A percentage of the evening’s sales will support the installation of The Bay Lights, the largest light sculpture in the world by internationally renowned artist Leo Villareal.

Hosts for the evening were Sloan and Roger Barnett, Sabrina Buell and Yves Behar, Jean-Pierre Conte, and Alison and Mark Pincus.

Guests included Adria Bini, Willie Brown, Glen and April Bucksbaum, Susan Dunlevy, Carla Emil, Ken Fulk, Vanessa Getty, Peter Hirshberg, Jenna Hunt, Sonya Molodetskaya, Becca Prowda, Jocelyn and David Sandler, Maria Manetti Shrem, Alison Sonsini, Steve and Mary Swig, Hillary Thomas, Jeana Toney, Alexis and Trevor Traina, Summer Walker, and many more.
