Mendocino County Wine, Food, Adventure and Art Unite In San Francisco For “Taste of Mendocino” on June 11, 2013

Mendocino County is just a few hours north of San Francisco, but on Tuesday, June 11, the very best in County wines, foods, culture and more will come together at the beautiful Golden Gate Club in the Presidio for the third-annual Taste of Mendocino event. More than 50 vendors including wineries, cheese makers, seaweed harvesters, destination outfitters, pie makers, coffee roasters, brandy distillers, beer makers, music event promoters and more will bring sips and samplings. Three 45-minute education workshops will bring the County to life for event attendees.

Hosted by Mendocino Winegrowers, Inc. and Visit Mendocino County, Taste of Mendocino is the only official County-sanctioned event to bring wines and more to San Francisco in one event for all. The trade and media portion of the event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event opens up to consumers. All are invited to sample the bounty of Mendocino County and learn about “what’s new” in the area.

“Taste of Mendocino was incredibly successful in 2012, so we’ve made the experience even better for 2013,” said Scott Schneider, President and CEO of Visit Mendocino County. “We know buyers and trade leaders appreciate the all-in-one resource this event brings, and with new workshops, new vendors, and the introduction of the educational workshops, there’s something for everyone this year.”

New this year, and exclusive to the trade and media portion of the event, Taste of Mendocino offers three 45-minute workshops sure to inspire:

  • CORO. Shares the inside story on the 10 year anniversary of this uniquely Mendocino wine collaboration.
  • Eat Mendocino. For 365 days, two Mendocino women have made a commitment to eat only locally grown and produced foods. Hear what they are doing, how they are doing it, and the results to date.
  • Anderson Valley 2011 Pinot Noir First Taste! The story and tasting of this premier Pinot.
