As with previous years, artMRKT San Francisco earmarks a portion of its opening night funds in support of one of San Francisco’s cultural treasures. This year, artMRKT San Francisco was pleased to donate proceeds from the 2013 Opening Night Benefit Preview event to the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s New Acquistion Fund. This ticketed preview event took place on May 16, from 6-8pm, and offered patrons first access to the available works of art from more than 70 galleries, as well as entertainment, elegant culinary offerings by McCalls and the benefit of supporting a renowned Bay Area cultural institution.

Building upon the buzz around artMRKT San Francisco’s opening night, the 2013 version of the fair, in collaboration with participating galleries, artists, cultural partners and sponsors, featured a programming platform for the presention of curated panels, lectures and special artist installations, as well as the return of the MRKTworks charity auction–a philanthropic arm of artMRKT Productions–in support of five Bay Area cultural organizations.
