Each year the Living & Giving Award is presented to individuals or organizations who have demonstrated exceptional support and dedication to JDRF. Wells Fargo sets the example for corporate philanthropy and service to community. Through the efforts of their enthusiastic team member-volunteers and charitable contributions, they have shared their success with JDRF throughout the United States, including substantially in the Bay Area. The generosity of Wells Fargo helps JDRF fund critical research, central to improving the lives of millions of people and curing type 1 diabetes.

Fun was had by all last May 18 with wonderful drinks and dinner perfectly delivered to guests by The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco staff. Much props goes to celebrity emcee, one of People Magazines “Sexiest Men” and chef extraordinaire Sam Talbot as well as David Martin’s House Party, their casino hosts 21FunCasinos, The Laugh Box, and Mixologist Camber Lay of Parallel 37. The exceptional gala committee planned countless surprises throughout the evening, and the after PARTY was one to be reckoned with.

JDRF is the leader of the T1D community—unifying global efforts to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. Through a transformative vision, breakthrough innovation, and effective operations, we are inspiring tomorrow’s hope through today’s results. The funds raised through events like Hope Gala are spent efficiently; more than 80% of JDRF’s expenditures go to research and reserch-related education.
