Gucci sponsors Giant Steps Charity Classic at Sonoma Horse Park

Gucci ws the official presenting sponsor of the recently concluded Giant Steps Charity Classic which was held in the Sonoma Horse Park last July 31 – August 4, 2013). Gucci’s partnership with Giant Steps Charity Classic is the latest extension of the House’s relationship with the equestrian world. Gucci’s commitment to the global sport of show jumping is well established; Gucci proudly sponsored 2012 GCT champion Edwina Tops-Alexander and presents the annual Gucci Paris Masters.

Now in its fourth year, Giant Steps Charity Classic showcases top regional and national equestrians from up-and-coming junior riders to some of our nation’s best. Over $100,000 in prize money is awarded and each evening boasts a featured competition and event; all of which benefit the programs at Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center. The two title events of the weekend were Barclays Six-Bar & Gala presented by Gucci on Saturday evening and the $30,000 Shaklee Grand Prix presented by Gucci on Sunday afternoon.

Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center offers life-changing therapy to children and adults with a wide range of physical, emotional and developmental challenges. Giant Steps also serves Veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and children considered to be “atrisk.” The organization operates without State or Federal funding and relies on the generosity of donors to continue to serve our community.
