Reflections of Fall

Autumn in New England is one of the most splendid experiences of natural beauty a person can find. From the Adirondacks of Upstate New York to the Catskills of Central New York; from the Green Mountains of Vermont to the Berkshires of Massachusetts and the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Maine, the backwoods and rural countryside are splashed in dazzling hues of purple, gold and crimson. The changing season places the sun at a lower angle in the sky and paints it in brilliant reds at sunrise and sunset, giving added effect to the brilliance of the foliage here. For those busy hard-working folks who spend all their time in New York City, there is still a way to experience the amazing fall pageantry without ever leaving town. The vast expanse of Central Park turns into a wonderland of colorful sights at this time of year, and one can easily disappear from the city long enough to have their own little Autumn adventure.
