It’s always a great pleasure to find delicious, guilt-free foods that are also crowd-pleasers, especially when so many of us are preparing to host on Super Bowl Sunday! Luckily, Andronico’s Market in Berkeley recently hosted an event with this in mind, featuring the Terrapin Ridge Farms line of specialty products. Terrapin Ridge Farms already has an impressive selection of gourmet snacks, sauces, dips, jams, and dressings. However, they’ve created three new vinaigrettes that are exceptional not only for their unique flavor combinations, but they are also fat-free, gluten-free, oil-free, and vegan. The Toasted Sesame & Ginger Vinaigrette has an irresistible, nutty flavor and a sharp, spicy bite of ginger that were prepared with delicate Asian noodles. The Garlic & Herb Vinaigrette tasted incredibly fresh and bright, and pairs well with meat and cheese, or as a tangy addition to salad. The Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette was prepared with chicken, and provided a savory richness that was hard to believe came from a fat-free product.

While these vinaigrettes are new to Terrapin Ridge Farms’ line of products, they’ve also added the Roasted Pineapple Habanero Sauce to their tasty offerings, following the popularity of the sauce’s “big sister”, the Roasted Pineapple Habanero Dip. The sauce definitely has the heat that one would expect from a habanero sauce, but its smoky, spicy flavor is perfectly combined with the pineapple in a way that makes it difficult to put down the fork. Fortunately, as one of the many people embracing a gluten-free lifestyle, I didn’t have to!

It would be downright criminal to not mention Terrapin Ridge Farms’ dessert toppings, specifically, the Chocolate Coconut Sauce. Bittersweet chocolate, coconut, and chocolate liqueur are blended into a rich, decadent treat that cannot be missed. Use it as a dip for fruit, pretzels, or cookies, or as a topping for anything from pastries to ice cream. You’ll definitely be back for more.
