The 2014 Kennebunkport Festival Announces Full Line-Up Of Events


The Kennebunkport Festival – an annual celebration of the best food, wine and art that Maine has to offer – has announced its full line-up of Maine’s top chefs, beer and winemakers, artists and muscians for this year’s event. Now in its 10th year, the Festival will take place from June 3 – June 8, 2014, in the seaside village of Kennebunkport, Maine.

The Festival is packed full of prominent chefs, bartenders, and sommeliers that will make appearances in some 40 events, including cocktail parties, intimate gourmet dinners, a gala party, a grand tasting event, art shows, after-parties, and an outdoor concert.

One of the highlights of the Festival is The Art of Dining, a series of once-in-a-lifetime intimate dinners prepared by Maine’s top chefs and featuring seasoned sommeliers, hosted in Kennebunkport’s most exquisite homes. Featured Chefs include:

Pop the Kennebunks. A Mediterranean-themed gala party produced by Cellardoor Winery and catered by Kitchen Chicks, with music by Austin,Texas-based band Matchmaker.

The Cellardoor Grand Tapas. A unique world-cuisine tasting event, featuring food inspired by eight different countries, and prepared by three chefs per country, including:

An Art Show. Featuring work by some of Maine’s most collectible artists, hung in a beautiful riverside setting, with live music and light fare served.

Brews and Tunes. A casual outdoor concert for families and friends on the Green at the Captain Lord Mansion. This year’s event will rock to the sound of Soul, and feature some of Maine’s greatest musicians, including Spencer Albee, Spencer Albee and his league of bandsmen bringing the best of Motown to the festival.

Dine Around the Kennebunks. Local restaurants will open their doors for an evening of culinary adventures featuring special prix-fixe menus.
