About Mary Elizabeth Inn:

Founded in 1914 by Mrs. Lizzie Snyder Glide, Mary Elizabeth Inn has helped thousands of women rebuild their lives by empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, independence, and security. Through its partnerships with the Human Services Agency (HAS) and the Department on the Status of Women (DOSW) of the City and County of San Francisco, Mary Elizabeth Inn provides 157 units of safe and affordable housing, supportive services, and free meals for women in two historic Edwardian buildings in Lower Nob-Hill/Tenderloin district of San Francisco.
