Lincoln’s Battleground Event at the South Gate Brewing Company

Scanned DocumentThe South Gate Brewing Company, an amazing microbrewery just south of Yosemite National Park, is hosting a fun evening with Abraham Lincoln, 1864 Ale, Live Music and Friends!!  Friday, March 14, 2014 starting at 6:30 p.m.

The evening starts with photo ops & Cheers with Abraham Lincoln from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  Lincoln will educate guests about his historic signing of the Yosemite Grant on June 30, 1864, amidst the Civil War, which protected Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia.

The Yosemite Conservancy’s Ken Burns’ inspiring documentary Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit will be playing in the Brewhouse all evening along with live music in the dining room.

Enjoy Brewmaster Rick’s special creation “1864 Ale” in honor of the Yosemite Grant 150th Anniversary plus special dining creations by Chef Dawn Pliche.  “Our menu pairs beautifully with our house made beers and is thoughtfully sourced, featuring American Pub fare with some exciting twists,” said owner Casey Hawkins.  Also available will be 1864 Ale commemorative merchandise.
