The Sequoia Hospital Foundation welcomed donors, physicians, staff and community members to an elegant Grand Opening Gala on the evening of May 3, 2014 as a part of Sequoia Hospital’s four-day celebration of its new Pavilion. Designed by acclaimed event designer Robert Fountain and produced by Twirl Management, the event took place in a series of four elegantly unique, themed tents each with signature food, cocktails and entertainment. Each tent featured a clear ceiling such that guests could see the dramatic light show projected onto the face of the new Pavilion throughout the night. The evening culminated with a drawing, sponsored by Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, featuring a $15,000 shopping spree in Silver’s showroom.

Community leaders, employees, and physicians contributed more than $20 million to the Sequoia Hospital Foundation in support of this once-in-a-lifetime project.

Sequoia Hospital’s new Pavilion has 104 beds, adds more than 148,000 square feet to the Sequoia Hospital campus, and includes three floors of large, private patient rooms. The Pavilion will house Sequoia Hospital’s award-winning Heart and Vascular Institute, the Center for Total Joint Replacement, advanced technology including a Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Hybrid Operating Room, and complete medical and surgical services with leading-edge technology. The new campus was designed to meet the needs of future generations, carrying on a 60-plus year tradition of providing award-winning care to the community.
