This black tie fundraising event will feature fine dining, musician Marta Lledo, DJ Platurn and a couture fashion show by San Francisco fashion star, Vasily Vein, as well as silent and live auctions. Additionally, guests will have an opportunity to learn about and support RTR4C’s vision of transforming every chemotherapy room, in every hospital, in every city around the world. To date, RTR4C has transformed 154 rooms in 15 facilities in the United States and El Salvador that have positively impacted more than 808,000 patient visits each year.

Don Sanchez, San Francisco Bay Area’s beloved veteran anchor and KGO reporter will host the event alongside auctioneer Abra Sills who will auction off once-in-a-lifetime experiences, vacations and dinners to raise funds for RTR4C.

Acclaimed Argentinian pianist Marta Lledo will delight guests with a selection of Latin American compositions, including Latin Moonlight, Brazil, Tango-Cavaran and Libertango.

Musical entertainer, DJ Platurn, a 20-year veteran with clients that include Pandora, Adidas, Pixar, MTV and the Golden State Warriors has played alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. He has also produced music for and collaborated with award-winning documentarians, Grammy-nominated vocalists and visual artists.

The gala’s headliner, Vasily Vein, will showcase a collection of his exquisite couture gowns. Vein’s high-end, sustainable fashion for men and women has been featured in Marie Claire, The San Francisco Chronicle and STEPin2.

“Our Gala represents a major milestone for Rooms That Rock 4 Chemo,” said Judy Davies, RTR4C Gala Co-Chair and Board Member. “In 2014 alone, there will be an estimated 1.6 million new cancer cases diagnosed. There has never been a more important time to make an immediate and impactful difference in the recovery and healing process for patients with cancer.”

“We are privileged to have this opportunity – for the first time in our history – to bring together business leaders, community volunteers and elected officials to raise money in support of our organization,” added Lisa Kang, RTR4C Gala Co-Chair and Board Member.
