Michelin-Star Restaurant to Host Acclaimed Chef Middione in the Kitchen for a Collaborative Dinner on April 16, 2015

WHAT:   Luce invites guests on Thursday, April 16th to enjoy a special, one night revival of beloved Fillmore Street restaurant Vivande Porta Via in celebration of Chef Carlo Middione’s influence on the San Francisco dining scene for over three decades. Luce welcomes Chef Middione back into the kitchen to prepare a collaborative menu with resident Chef Daniel Corey.

DETAILS:  For 29 years Fillmore Street was home to one of the city’s most adored Italian restaurants – Vivande Porta Via. Headed by Chef Carlo Middione and his wife Lisa, the restaurant was a local fixture serving classic Northern Italian and Sicilian cuisine. After a car accident that left Chef Middione without the ability to smell and taste, the beloved Vivande Porta Via was forced to close its doors. Yet through it all, Chef Middione’s skills and passion for cooking continued to be revered in the culinary world.

Luce’s special celebration will give guests the rare opportunity to experience Chef Middione’s remarkable culinary expertise once more. All are welcome to enjoy the collaborative meal from Chef Middione and Chef Corey, which will feature a fusion of classic Italian and Coastal Californian cuisine.
